Lord Ganesha

Meaning: I bow down to Ganapati/Praise be to Ganapati



मम गुरु

gururbrahmā gururviṣṇuḥ
gururdevo maheśvaraḥ
gurureva param brahma
tasmai  ṣrīgurave namaḥ

(Salutations to the noble Guru, who is Brahma, Vishnu
and Lord Shiva, the direct paraBrahma, the supreme reality.)



Puja Thali

Meaning: I bow down to Ganapati/Praise be to Ganapati

This is a puja thali (plate) with offerings (flower, rice, kumkum and tumeric powder) for Lord Ganesha. This pic was taken at our ashram where a religious ceremony was being performed in celebration of Ganesha Chaturthi.

This मूर्ति (mūrti, deity sculpture) was given to me by my dear friends from Bangalore, India. It is made of Sandalwood and stands no more than 10.5 inches tall.
